On race day, the Festival Village at Hackney Marshes will host a full day of fitness programming devoted to the sport of running. Expect warm up and cool downs, recovery and stretch sessions, and more. There will be a multitude of local food & drink trucks, live entertainment and post-race celebrations. The village will be open to the public from 7AM on Sunday 19 May.
Cruise down Mare Street through a carnival of sound, pass by the famous Town Hall, head through the historic Broadway Market, and then take in Hackney Wick, which is flush with vibrant street art. Explore green spaces including Haggerston and Downs Parks, cross over twelve canals and rivers, and enjoy a panoramic view of the Olympic Park.
